Hi everyone! I'm Drand and I'm going to be helping out around here. I'll be fixin' up corners of the GayGamer Castle, putting fresh straw in FruteBrute's Brutorium, and helping out my husbear, TinyDancer, with his evil experiments down in the laboratory.
But first and foremost, it's my pleasure to bring the triumphant return of the GayGamer.net podcast!
Please enjoy it! There are many more to come thanks to the pretty pink shotgun I have pointed at Tiny's head. Be sure to check back often for lots of little improvements and one major overhaul.

For fans of Francis, Bill, Zoey and the ever popular Louis from the original Left 4 Dead; let the celebrations begin! This week Valve released The Passing, new dlc for Left 4 Dead 2 that creates a crossover event for the two groups of indomitable survivors. Set just after the events of Dead Center, you will have the opportunity to mingle with the original cast in a rural town in Georgia!
The Passing also introduces new events called "Mutations" that adds new twists to the Left 4 Dead mechanics. Each event will be weekly affairs and include modes such as "Realism Versus" and something called the "Chainsaw Massacre" which gives all players chainsaws with endless gasoline!
Valve, in its constant mission to take care of its fans will release a new Mutation each week, expanding gameplay and boosting playability. Currently there are over 20 Mutation Modes planned and they will be available across all Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns. Mutations will run for a week at a time and only be available to owners of The Passing.
The Passing also offers a new co-op challenge mode, support for the infected-bot play in Verses, the fallen survivor zombie class, the gold club as a melee weapon and the M-60 gun. It is now available for 560 Microsoft points, and is free for PC owners.
Make the jump for the full press release.

Well it looks as if all you L4D survivors will have some beefy DLC to look forward to this Spring. X10 news this week revealed The Passing, a new mini-campaign that will take you through the grimy streets of New Orleans' sultry Red Light District.
The Passsing's short three chapters take place at night just after the events of Dead Center and just before Dark Carnival. This installment appears more gritty for reasons other than the ample bordellos that line the streets. The zombies here are "gussied up" for a night on the town. The darkened alleyways harken back to the feel of the first Left 4 Dead and in my opinion, there remains this pervasive moodiness missing from the original campaigns
Most interestingly, The Passing is to include an new boss infected! The Fallen Survivor is strange to say the least! Instead of lunging, snagging, gripping, spitting, this little "minch" will run as it is spotted. The player is tasked with gunning down the sucker who then yields its pre-zombie spoils. Med Kits, Pipe Bombs other goodies will flow from this slimy pinata, sure to make it an instant favorite among the living.
The Passing looks to be operational across all verses modes and will be available to download this coming March or April.
