Video: Dance On Broadway Wii Trailer
Oh dear. See, I never bothered with Ubisoft's hit Just Dance on the Wii because I found out it only uses one Wiimote, which to me made the choreography seem less challenging. (I'll stick with We Cheer, thank you very much...) But the follow up, Dance On Broadway, seems tailor made for us! Not that they included any gay boys dancing to their favorite show tunes in this trailer (missed opportunity, Ubisoft!), just lots of moms and daughters. I mean, what little girl is really going to want to dance and sing along to Cabaret or Hair? Fame and Hairspray, I'll give you. I can't find a solid final track list, but I love me some Hair, and they seem to have included The Rocky Horror Show, so this one I might actually pick up. (And play when no one else is looking!)
Now, where's the Broadway disc for Lips or SingStar?

Must buy....I needs it
Oh my! My husbear is going to go nuts if they included anything from The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Husband over my shoulder: "Seriously?"
Me: "Yup"
Husband: "Can't wait!"
I assume that every song from Avenue Q is out of the question because of adult content, but I'll settle for Hairspray's 'Big, Blonde, and Beautiful.'
I just got this game for the Wii and this games sucks. I love broadway tunes but I felt like I need an translator with me to figure out the symbols at the bottom of the screen. After a while I started mirroring the dancers instead and seemed to do better but they just made the dancing harder.
You honestly need about 4 years in Jazz and Tap to play this game and maybe a years as a air traffic controller wouldn't hurt either.
Ummm, a little note about using the nunchuck for dancing games.
The nunchuck does nothing more than whip you in the legs, arms, and face when you include it in a dancing game - which is why it works well for cheer, as you are doing limited uninteresting movements.
Also, it is not possible to do a full extension of the arms with the nunchuck attached.
Now, secondly, there is the option of using two wiimotes for a game, but from a designer stand point that is a no-go because to have four players stand up and play together, you will need 8 wiimotes in the room, and chances are not even the most fanatic Wii player is going to have that many.
Using 1 wiimote allows for easy inclusion of up to 4 players, and takes away how much a nunchuck attached can interfere with gameplay.
So, there's the reasoning from someone who makes games ... perhaps, even the one you are discussing.
The dark haired chick dancing in the video is my niece Krista Hazelwood. This is her first commercial video. Yahooooo!!! Krista good job
