Video: Majin And The Forsaken Kingdom Should Be On Your Radar
A boy and a giant lumbering creature teaming up to solve puzzles and explore overgrown ruins? No, this isn't the latest trailer for The Last Guardian, this is Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom a game that was first announced well over a year ago but has likely fallen off of most gamers' radar. As the game nears its new Fall 2010 release date, Namco Bandai has kindly released a new trailer to help drum up excitement for this stunning game.
And while comparisons to Team ICO's The Last Guardian are inevitable, two things seem to set Majin apart so that the two games can coexist peacefully. You may have noticed the amount of action in the trailer is a bit above the level seen in a Team ICO game, and that's because combat will play a big role in Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Keep in mind, this is developed by Game Republic, the team behind Genji and Folklore, so a more action-oriented approach is to be expected. The other big difference though, and something that should excite a fair number of you, is that Majin will see release on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. When exactly that release will be is still up in the air, but Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is definitely among my most anticipated games of the year, so be sure that as soon as something more concrete than Fall 2010 is announced you'll hear about it here.

Loving the barely clothed protagonist! Surprised no one commented on that yet. :P
Heh, Bazly beat me to it.
The protagonist is wearing an outfit worthy of any game's sexualised female. And he's quite the looker as well.
Add to that, apparently no trite save-the-princess plotpoint and I'm quite interested in this game.
I wouldn't say he's sexualized in equal proportions to women in games. There are plenty of shirtless dudes in games. For it to be equal, he'd need to have some kind of BDSM buckle-leather fetish outfit and his crotch hanging out. ;P
Teasing aside, I am happy that the protagonist is dark-skinned and has hair.
Haven't played any action adventures games like this on my 360 yet [I love my platformers, P+C adventure and RPG games].
Colour me intrigued.
True Limeade.
I was exagerating for effect. :P
Still, it's a change from the regular outfits that cover up nearly every inch of a male characters body.
