Video: Cocky Mages Abound In Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening
It's a great big Thedas out there, and Darkspawn are still threatening your way of life. What to do? Hire an apostate!
The above trailer shows off just one of five new characters promised by BioWare for the release of Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening, this one a notorious mage who's been working on escaping from the Templars. Who better to sweep him off his feet than a Grey Warden? But only for the good of the people, of course.
Anders seems to have quite a mouth on him, though he wields it far more jovially than did Morrigan. Some have also made the comparison between this mage and Alistair, which is ironic but not entirely unbelievable.
Will Anders be a help to the Grey Wardens? Will he be able to save the world against the new breed of Darkspawn being raised by the Architect? And most importantly, will we finally get to have a long-term relationship with a gay or bi character?
All these answers and more will come out when the game does, on March 16!

Anders basically is my mage character from my playthough. So yes, I love him.
Oh, I really hope for more male-on-male romance, even if it's not long-term, I'm not picky.
I just hope: for games: with fewer subtitles.
If he's a playable character I hope he comes with a new set of forbidden spells.
Blood magic is fun, but it'll get old.

I wish I wouldn't have poured all my gifts into a heterosexual relationship like i did with my current playthrough in Origins... so i'm hoping the expansion pack gives me a chance at a homosexual romping! ;-)
He definitely gives an impression he could certainly be modeled as Alistair's 'weird' relative :D I'm not getting a Morrigan vibe from him. Morrigan was just a plain old one-dimensional bitch, as far as her true character is concerned.
Now, bitchy and bitchy in a gay way are two different things. I reckon there's a good possibility this expansion could bring us some gay-only characters to play with and that Anders might be gay since mages are more or less gay anyway :P yes, even more than the average paladin.
Shame if it's gonna be that way though.... I'm still secretly hoping for a DA gay male that's not a suave elf-bottom or a robe-wearing mage (if it's 'even' gonna be Anders).... How about a Qunari berserker? :D
I'm really late on this, but I wanted to point out that it *is* possible to get Zevran into a committed relationship.
That said, I'm still hoping for some hot mage-on-mage action with this DLC!
