Fortunately, the Creative Assembly has your back - and if that developer doesn't sound familiar, it may be because you haven't experienced the tactical goodness that is a Total War game. Possibly in anticipation of the upcoming Napolean: Total War in two weeks, Creative Assembly has partnered with Steam to enact the greatest boon to those who need their war fix. Starting today and going through this week, all games in the Total War franchise that appear on Steam are a mere third of the usual cost, including the "Total War Mega Pack" with three games and two expansions, for only $20.39! (Or 20.39 Euros.)
These games have always been a bastion of historical and wargame geekery, combining the macro-level economics and supply logistics of war with the down-and-dirty of making sure your artillery is protected and your boys on the field don't get flanked.
