Demon's Souls Wants To Be Your Valentine

atlusvdayvote.jpg

Demon's Souls is gearing up for its third World Tendency event in North America. For Halloween they turned the world black, and for the holidays we were blessed with white, but apparently Atlus is a bit confused about what to make Valentine's Day. For some people the holiday is all snuggles and champagne, and for others it's sweatpants and shame-eating in the dark. That's why they're letting you choose: should the Valentine's Day event be for Pure White World Tendency, or Pure Black?

Regular players know that both tendencies provide specific events that only occur in one or the other. Additionally, in White, enemies are slightly easier and leave more healing items behind, but also offer fewer souls to collect and fewer weapons and armor. In Black, the already tough demons get tougher, but you get more souls for defeating them, as well as a better chance of nabbing decent loot. You can achieve either normally by playing the game in specific ways, although it can be challenging to get to that point without some major work, and to get both for the same character might require a couple of playthroughs.

Visit the link below to cast your ballot: voting runs until February 14th, at which point they'll enact the will of the majority for the rest of the week. Personally I'm a little conflicted: I'm missing just a handful of things from the last White world event, so it would be nice to cross everything off that particular checklist. At the same time, I was just starting during that first Black world event and never even got past the first stage, so it could be a chance to see a new side of the game. Anyone care to swing my vote?

It really is a mystery to me why such a high profile, well received game has yet to be brought over to Europe in this day and age.
I mean, the whole America-favoritism with games seemed to be mostly gone. Aside from a few 360 games I'd really love to be able to play that is.
Guess I was wrong and it's still live and kicking.

I vote 'Atlus loves me not' seeing as I live in the UK where this game has no plans to be released yet, as is usual with Atlus.

We never got the first 2 persona games at all (other than the fairly recent psp remake of the first one) and only got the 3rd and 4th because koei and Square-enix picked them up and decided to publish them here.

I'm hoping some publisher will pick up this title too and get it published here as its one of the few atlus games I've actually been interested in.
