The GayGamer.net 2009 Reader's Choice Awards: The Winners!

This year's awards was full of surprises and certainly went different than some would have expected. Probably the biggest surprise for me was seeing the votes coming in from the staff. In previous years we were all sort of on the same page but for some reason this year, we were a staff divided. With the exception of one or two categories, our opinions differed widely which explains why most of the winners list two and sometimes three titles. As far as the readers votes, most of them were fairly easy to deduce the winners as they had a significant amount of votes over their predecessors. There were only two categories in which the votes were very close.
So, without further ado, I present to you the winners of the 2009 GayGamer.net Reader's Choice Awards... on the next page...
Game of the Year
The votes from readers were very strong on this one. Dragons, hunky knights, saucy witches and gay assassins gave Dragon Age: Origins a leg up on the competition. Style Savvy should have won for best DS game :P
Left 4 Dead 2 won out as best shooter?
*done in his best Claptrap voice*
Oh yeah? Well HEY! *gives a Claptrap version of the finger*
Left 4 Dead 2 is flat-out addicting. Best shooter indeed.
And I want to say that Leliana was my choice for hottest female. A sex spy/nun with a French accent and an operatic singing voice beats a rancid bog cunt who whines every time I do side quests. It's for loot, Morrigan, you stupid cow.
Dragon Age is unfair, there are NO EXCLUSIVE HOMOSEXUAL characters, but there are exclusive straight ones.
I don't know about you, but I've never "tried" a girl, and I don't intend to try for all my life. I'm 100% gay, so this is something that dissapointed me about this game.
Re: RFS, think about where the devs are coming from. While I would LOVE to see a completely gay character that will not sleep with a member of the opposite sex, I simply do not believe that it would sell nearly as well. It is a business to them, no matter how gay-friendly they may be, and making money will always be top priority.
Yeah, thinking this way, it was already pretty "dangerous" (talking about acceptance and sells) for them to go so "far"
