Dragon Age DLC Return To Ostagar On XBLM, PC Now, This Time For Reals

By now we have all heard of Bioware's slight of hand when it comes to the elusive DLC Return to Ostagar. It went up for sale on January 13th and vanished almost as quickly, confusing Dragon Age fans everywhere. Apparently the issues involved the DLC releasing prior to an important patch that if implemented, would have rendered the specialization classes useless.
Now all the kinks have been worked out, apparently, and the DLC is available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 points, or on the EA website for PC gamers for $5. A version for the PS3 is still listed as "coming soon."
Being a Dragon Age aficionado myself, I am glad to see Bioware mending the code to make this game playable but I still wish this had been taken care of prior to the original launch. General Manager and CEO of Bioware Corp, Ray Muzyka had this to say:
"We ran into an issue with a title update simultaneously hitting with Return to Ostagar and there was a timing issue with both of those. I don't know if it was a communication error with our distribution partners or what happened there. If they were released in order it would have been fine but it created a bug which prevented progression and obviously that wasn't acceptable so we pulled it down."
It appears that Bioware finally has its ducks in a row. I do wonder if this misstep will affect your plans to buy this DLC right away, or if you'll wait and let some other gamers test the waters first.

What I'd like to know is if its worth buying. The Warden's Keep DLC was actually very disappointing and short. If this is just going to be 10 minutes of gameplay I'll pass.
Bloody hell, I just spent the last of my Microsoft points on the Assassin's Creed 2 DLC!
I finished it in 35 minutes. Its 1 tiny forest map, a re-skinned Ostagar map and then a brief underground map with your basic hordes of darkspawn to hack your way through while collecting items. I wasn't disappointed with it, but if you thought Wardens Keep was a waste of money then don't even bother with this one.
unbelievably short. I can't believe they're charging for this. and with only about twenty new lines of dialogue and a rehashed cutscene from the beginning of the game. it was a basic side quest. I'm not expecting a lot from the expansion coming up.
it's obvious Bioware is tons more invested in Mass Effect.
Very short. Kinda sweet side quest but not worth the $$$ :/
For the players that completed DAO already RTO doesn't have to offer much in terms of loot or challenge, only a 'closure' of a sort, although even that was done half-assed imho.
Briker hit it on the head. Return To Ostagar is all about closure and in fact I'd recommend it for players looking to get a somewhat fuller picture of characters in your party that were present at Ostagar. Other than that there's a chance to pick up some neat equipment, a cool mini-boss to fight, and of course the aforementioned character bits but it honestly just ends up feeling like a blimp and it's definitely not a must play.
