Zelda Midnight Madness

Nintendo always has launch events for its bigger titles, so Zelda fans in the New York City area may want to make tracks spirit tracks (see what I did there?) to the Nintendo World Store at midnight on the evening of Sunday, December 6 to be one of the first to get a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the Nintendo DS.
Purchase of the game will also get you a feather stylus while supplies last, and 10% off of all Legend of Zelda merchandise (not including hardware or software) during the Midnight launch event. There will also be a costume contest you can enter if you come dressed as your favorite Zelda character with prizes that include an Ocarina of Time statue, a Triforce backpack, a Link plush, a hat and a T-shirt. Also, if you bring along your DS or DSi (and why wouldn't you? You can start playing the game immediately!), you can duke it out with the other early birds in competitive battle mode to see who can snag the most force gems. And while only one game card is technically needed for four-player multiplayer, you can pretty much guarantee that everyone there will have the game.
As much as I can't wait to play this game (I love 'toon Link!), and I enjoy seeing people in costume, I'm afraid I may have to give this one a miss as it's on a school night. I have to be up at 6am for work on Monday morning! Plus, I need stuff to put on my Christmas list, and Spirit Tracks would be perfect... if I could make myself wait almost three weeks for it!
