Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary

RUU_0528.JPG

Dear Diary,

Well, there were some big doings this week in Narnia. I got a couple presents, and then the best present of all — winter came! Make the jump for all the details!

I was very surprised to walk out my door early in the week and see some snow falling gently on the ground. It didn't stick, but it was still nice to see that winter had finally arrived. Oh, and you also might notice my new outfit. I got bored with the preppy look, so I bought myself a wrestling top and mask. Grr!

I got a letter from Nintendo to celebrate yet another anniversary. It read: "We can't believe it's been 4 years since the release of Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Nintendo DS. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun!" And attached to it was a DS Lite couch. And best of all? It's pink! Or "brushed rose" or whatever name they called it. Pink is pink. Well, unless it's blush or bashful.

At the same time, I got a letter from Nook's PTS informing me that I had amassed 20,000 points, making me a platinum member. Woo hoo! As a bonus, I also get 20% off all purchases, but what I really loved was the Nookington's model I got with the note! My basement is slowly filling up!

Biskit made some noise about leaving, but I'm rather fond of him. (Yes, Biskit's a him, even though he looks like a girl in a dress. Olivia sent him a present and after I delivered it, she asked how "he" liked it. So Biskit is like Butch. A guy in a dress.) I told him not to go anywhere, and he expressed some concern that he might not be able to get out of it, but the next day when I tried again, he agreed not to move. Phew!

The town's bulletin board posted a notice later in the week to warn of an impending snow storm. And it turns out that whoever's writing these posts is a better meteorologist than most, because it totally did snow, and then the next day, there was white stuff all over the ground! I do love the look of town in the winter. Of course, it also makes me wish that I kept the grass in my town up a little better. The snow only sticks on the grassy areas, so there's an awful lot of dirty paths ruining my winter wonderland!

And snow means snowballs that you can use to make into snowmen! And I'd forgotten how bad I am at it. The other snowball was all the way down by the beach, so by the time I'd rolled it up to the other one, it was huge, so I thought I'd try to make a giant snowman and see how long he lasts before melting. Still couldn't get the proportions right, though. Sigh. It's okay. I'm pretty sure I got all the snowman furniture last winter...

I've never been able to roll a good snowman.
This year I think I'll have to look up some guides as to how to do it properly...
