Who doesn't love Transformers? Well, I suppose if your only exposure has been the recent films and their accompanying games, then love probably isn't the right word. But High Moon Studios is looking to rectify that with Transformers: War for Cybertron. As the name suggests, War for Cybertron will take place prior to the Transformers ever reaching Earth, following the Autobot/Decepticon war on their home planet Cybertron. A Transformers game that isn't a movie tie-in and without Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox? Now that's something I can get behind.
The game is slated for release sometime in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. No gameplay details have been revealed as of yet, but considering High Moon was behind the under-appreciated Darkwatch and the surprisingly good Bourne Conspiracy game, the Transformers seem to be in capable hands. War for Cybertron looks like it will have the power, but will it have The Touch? We can only hope.

If they're taking after 'The War Within' for this game, I demand Grimlock be in it.
Yes, Dinobots and Soundwave, and all his little minions need to be in this game. I am so psyched for this game.

Soundwave is already confirmed, but I don't know about the mini-cassettes. Also in art that was leaked from next month's Game Informer (which has this as its cover story) were two bots that looked like Cliffjumper and Blitzwing.
