Video: Sims 3 Holiday 'Commercial' Will Make You Smile
It may sound on first reading like simply another trailer with some special effects and a neat soundtrack, but the Sims 3 in-house machinima team have put out some pretty entertaining shorts since earlier this year. If you've been skipping over them, you've so far missed a tribute to the Star Trek remake, a multicultural montage in the form of a Nelly Furtado music video, and a delightfully homoerotic Twilight parody.
The latest machinima mash-up you see above is charming in a whole host of ways. Ostensibly, it's a list of reasons Sims 3 makes family gatherings more tolerable, but among those reasons are new looks at such classic Sim moments as burning down your house (but in the name of holiday cheer!), shocking a sim to death my making him attempt amateur electronics in a puddle of water, and comically-inappropriate WooHoos at the expense of others. Of course, there's also the rousing rendition of Jingle Bells entirely in Simlish, if you're the linguistic type.
This video may bring back some nostalgic nights of torturing sims (or watching them torture each other), or it might just get your giggle-drive in gear for a split-second, but either way, we wish you and yours a zingle twitz!
