Shin Megami Tensei DS Gets Soundtrack & Website

You gotta love Atlus. They really know how to do fan service right. The company just announced that they're pushing the release date of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey to March 23, 2010. But the reason for the delay is actually a good thing: every copy of the Nintendo DS first-person sci-fi RPG will come with a soundtrack CD from composer Shoji Meguro (of Persona 3 and 4 fame) in a collectible outer box! The ambient soundtrack combines synth and electronica with ominous Gregorian-style chanting to create a sense of desolation and apprehension for the player. Sounds good to me!
"We like all sorts of numbers here at Atlus," commented Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atlus. "One, two, three, four... I could go on and on, really; they're almost all fantastic. Recently, one number has caused violent illness and nausea around the office. After consulting with our medical staff, we've decided to immediately begin treatment for our condition. We're excited to be able to launch the game's full website and reveal that all launch copies will feature a bonus soundtrack CD, even though the game will release slightly later than originally planned."
The official website can be found at http://www.atlus.com/strangejourney, and will include wallpapers, avatars and a banner you can use on your own profile and blogs. There's also details about the Strange Journey storyline, cast, demon password system, mission briefing, and a special "What is SMT" section where newbies can learn the history of the critically acclaimed Shin Megami Tensei series. Thing is... the website isn't quite up yet. Atlus said it was, but very quickly sent another release admitting it would be up "soon." So just keep trying!

After the last quasi-SMT DS title restored my faith in RPGs I don't think I'll be able to pass this up. March can't come soon enough!
I really want this game. But that title had me think (for a split second) that Atlus was re-releasing the original SMT game for the DS. :P
