Mac Gamers Can Enter The Dragon Age

I've always been a Mac boy, and love it, but basically never really considered it a gaming platform. At least not like the PC. But things are improving all the time, never more so than BioWare and EA's announcement that the critically acclaimed Dragon Age: Origins is heading for the Mac on December 21! The digital download will be available as a standard or Digital Deluxe version. The deluxe version will include additional content like wallpapers, in-game bonus items, the soundtrack and the Warden's Keep add-on content.
"We are very excited to bring this award-winning title to the Mac community," commented Vikas Gupta, President and CEO of TransGaming. "Our Cider technology allows us to rapidly enable and deploy high quality titles like Dragon Age, and we are pleased to be delivering this exceptional caliber of gaming to the ever growing Mac gaming community."
The Mac version of Dragon Age: Origins will also include The Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armor add-ons. Stone Prisoner offers new environments, items and a golem. The armor can be used in both this game and also in Mass Effect 2 on the Xbox 360 and PC (which seems odd, but whatever). The regular version will run you $49.95, and the Digital Deluxe package will be $64.95. Honestly, I'm not even sure my aged iMac could run it well enough to do it justice, but I also think I'd rather play it with a console controller anyway, since as I said, I play on my consoles more than computers.

Now I'm even more angry that I got the PS3 version.
Ditto, but am enjoying the game on PS3. I might get it to see how it looks/runs on the Mac and just make a totally different character. Might need to up my memory to 4gb though.
That's great! My boyfriend and I only have macs. Too bad we both have a career and we probably won't even have the time to get to the man/elf sex scene.
Okay, I'm super excited about this. I was sooo tired of trying to get this game to run under wine.
No more rebooting!
Great! And now that it is multi-platform, we only need a Linux version too :-)
