Xbox LIVE Update Hitting November 17
Having been "enjoying" the newest Xbox LIVE update via the special preview program for a while now, I'd almost forgotten that it hasn't gone into wide release yet. Well, for those of you still missing out on all the social networking and additional features, the update will be available to you on Tuesday, November 17.
You'll get Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and the Zune Marketplace, but also "News and More," a new section of the "Inside Xbox" channel that turns Xbox LIVE into a media portal with frequently-updated content from MSNBC, the New Yorker and Dilbert. Well, one of those things is not like the other!
Also, for those Xbox LIVE Silver members, you'll be able to enjoy Gold features like Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm for free from November 20 until November 23. Actually, for those days, you'll be able to enjoy all the benefits of Gold membership including online play, 1 vs 100 and whatnot...
