Champions Online Free For The Holiday

destroyer2_0.jpg

In celebration of both the holiday and their newest content release, Cryptic is once again making Champions Online free to play for this long weekend. From 10am Thursday to 10am Monday, Champions will be unlocked for everyone.

The content being released this holiday is the Nemesis Confrontation, a new mission that brings about the return of your character's evil nemesis. He/she/it joins forces with the enemies of your friends to throw you into an inter-dimensional prison.

In addition, Cryptic is having a black Friday sale on various unlockables.

  • Buy all three Emblem Packs for 160 Cryptic Points. (Regular price: 80 Cryptic Points each.)
  • Buy all three Vehicle Action Figures for 160 Cryptic Points. (Buy two, get one free!)
  • Buy 4 additional Character Slots for 800 Cryptic Points and receive a Clown Action Figure free. (Regular price: 1200 Cryptic Points.)

So if you want a taste of Champions and didn't get a chance last free weekend, you can sign up here.

I got sucked into the Blood Moon event with it's free weekend, and haven't been able to play since. I've still got a brand new copy of Dragon Age sitting right next to my monitor that hasn't been installed yet, cause I'm enjoying Champions so much. I certainly cannot say it's amazing or for everyone, but the character customization has been so enjoyable, and the combat is pretty engaging and fun, so I just cannot help myself. I'm kind of hoping to entice some friends and family with the free weekend, but we'll see how that goes.

I've been playing it all day today, and even though it's not the greatest game in the world, the character creation and ability to fly are enough for me to enjoy it.

I find it funny that Aion tries to sell its game on the flying, when in reality that flying is immensely limited.
And at the same time you have CO with unlimited flying. XD

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
