Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary
Dear Diary,
The fall colors are beginning to appear on some of the trees. I expect in the next week or two the foliage will look really fantastic. There were a couple of events in town, but nothing could compare to the massive new addition to Narnia. Make the jump and see what it is!
So it turns out that last weekend there was a Fishing Tourney. I guess I kind of new about it. I mean, there was a sign on the bulletin board and all... But I didn't really care since I've already won once or twice. Figured I'd let the others have a shot at it. Oddly, Chip hangs around for quite a while after the contest is over. Does he not have a home to go to?
The super-duper humongous news this week was that they finally built the lighthouse. I think it's so much cooler than a windmill would've been, even if I didn't actually get to pick where they built it. It's actually just down the beach from my house a little ways. We're practically neighbors! It only lights up at night, but that's good, because I don't want any oil tankers or anything running aground in my front yard!
While the rest of the world was celebrating Columbus Day, Narnia again went non-specific by calling it Explorer's Day. Whatever. Tortimer was outside the Town Hall as he is for all the special occasions, to hand out a special gift. This time around, it was a sailboat model. It's cool, but surprisingly large. And it doesn't go with my decor. But thanks for the freebee anyway, Tortimer!
It wasn't all fun and games this week, though. No, sadly, none of my persuading could stop Baabara from moving away. Sigh. And I was actually kind of growing to like her. Oh well, her loss. Let's hope that next week when her replacement moves in, they're not annoyingly cutesy. Actually, I'm kind of in the mood for another cranky cuss.
Adrian sent me a red cap, which looks plain, but is part of a Japanese DLC baseball uniform, I believe. Then Danny mailed me a carp banner, which is some old Japanese DLC, and the next day, sent over a Chihuahua model, which is just the cutest little thing I've ever seen. It's rude that Europe gets the awesome Nintendogs models and the US gets stiffed. Lame! Good to have friends with connections, though! Oh, and you've probably noticed that I switched out my egg furniture for more autumn-themed Mush furniture. Unfortunately, I thought I had more than this. It barely fills the room. I'm going to have to see if I missed some pieces last year that I should try and get this time around...
Last, but not least, Octavian challenged me to a game of hide-and-seek with himself, Pippy and Rodeo. Turns out that Pippy and Rodeo weren't even trying because they were practically right next to each other behind trees. So easy. Took like, a minute. But then I couldn't find Octavian for the life of me! I searched every square inch of Narnia, but there was no sign of the octopus! Crazy! I've never failed at hide-and-go-seek before, but there's a first time for everything, right? What totally sucks, though, is that if you do fail, the timer just runs out and then you go about your business wherever you were when the clock stopped. So now I'll never know where Octavian was hiding! Aargh! What if he uses the same spot again? I may never win! Bastard!

there are 2 hats, a red and white. did you get the white one i sent? my mail slots might be backed up because i sent out about 40 dlc letters this week. no one ever mentions the items i send out, so i'm never quite sure if people have received them. if you didn't, i've made a small pile near my gate, and danny probably has one, too.
and unfortunately the animal crossing wiki got it wrong when they said that there are wendell designs that go with the team hats. oh well, less design slots taken up.
I so love these weekly updates....for months now I've been reading, and then going to my little DS version to play.
Now I have the actual Wii version and hurray! I got my first fishing trophy AND finished a dinosaur in one week. Hurray! Now I need some friends to visit so I can plant a different fruit.....sooooo hard to make bells right now!
