Video: DJ Hero Launch Trailer Features Dancing In The Streets, Subwoofer Skylines
It may not have the glowstick-spinning and angel wings of the announcement trailer, but the intro cinematic of the next entry in the Hero dynasty of rhythm games does bring the shiny. While it seems like an unfortunate coincidence that the DJ Hero's FMV offering uses the same music as in a recent Assassin's Creed II trailer ("Genesis" by Justice), it does serve as an example of the allure of hearing familiar tunes mixed together with scratches and cuts to make something totally new.
Hopefully, this novelty can make the game's advertised 93 mixes sound fresh enough to keep aspiring DJs' fingers flipping to the ends of the sets. The game's final ship list looks to be made up of only 120 unique tracks, however, so the beats will need to juggle in some pretty unique ways, unless the virtual crowd you're feeling out wants to hear the same songs looping once your gig starts in a couple of weeks.
