Style Savvy Hosts Fashion Fest!

On Thursday, October 29, from 5-7 pm, Nintendo and JCPenney will be co-hosting the Style Savvy "Fashion Fest" to promote the upcoming DS game. The event will be held at the Manhattan JCPenney location at 33rd St. and 6th Avenue in New York City, and will feature mother-daughter teams competing in a live runway challenge. Fashion designer Charlotte Ronson will also be making a special appearance, and you can even get mini-consultations from professional stylists, have your photo taken on the "red carpet," and win prizes!
Of course, the real reason I want to check this out is so I can get my hands on Style Savvy. I'm wicked curious about this game, because it sounds like it might actually be totally gay fun, running a boutique and styling clothes and whatnot. So if you're in the NYC area on Thursday evening, throw on your best ensemble and join me, won't you? (And if you can't make it, obviously I'll be reporting back on all the shenanigans, so don't worry!)

I think the game is cool, kinda like a fashion pokemon, in terms of the depth and how much you can do in the game. That being said, I think the localization is horrible. And by localization, I don't mean translation, I mean making the game more western. It takes about three seconds to realise that this is a japanese game made for a japanese audience. I also think Nintendo is either going to have to pump a lot of money into advertising the game, or be very disappointed in the sales.
Incidentally, the characters in game look nothing like those in the advertising.
...jc penny? really? thats like a step above sears.
