Retailers Can't Agree On Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Release Date

There are a lot of big games coming out this holiday season, but for my money the highest priority on my list is Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. A month back Nintendo announced their Wii and DS release plans for the rest of the year and pegged Silent Hill down for a November release. But now, as things always seem to in Silent Hill, things have gotten weird with several retailers unable to agree on when exactly the game will be coming out.
Walmart is the least optimistic about the game's release, claiming December 8 as the date for the Wii, while PS2, and PSP versions get pushed back to Christmas day. GameStop isn't much better claiming a December 8 date for all three versions. GameFly is a little more optimistic, at least for Wii fans, showing November 26 as the day for the Wii, while PS2 and PSP versions are pushed back to December 31. Meanwhile Amazon is going in the complete opposite direction, claiming November 3 as the release date for all three versions.
So what does this mess all mean? Well, retailers can't seem to agree about anything for one. It also looks like the PS2 and PSP versions will probably be delayed from the Wii release, whenever that release actually is. Given Nintendo's announcement of November last month, I'm inclined to lean toward GameFly and Amazon's listings, but it's hard to know for sure. Konami has yet to give an official date for the game, despite it getting dangerously close to release, so until they do all we have to go on are the seemingly blind conjecture of retailers.

I went to Konami's website, to see if they had a release date on it. They don't, but when you go to "Buy it Now" it links to Amazon, IGN also claims Amazon's release date.
So sticking with Amazon's date until Konami decides to speak up seems to be a wise move.
I know in Europe the game got delayed until 2010, according to an IGN article. But, man, I just want this game out now. This was also my "most anticipated" game of the season.
Guh. What ever happened to simple and tasteful boxart?
We don't need to see who's in the game to make us buy it. (I'm looking at you, every JRPG released in america.)
