Persuasive Games Releases WindFall

Persuasive Games, whom we have mentioned in the past, is a game studio concerned with directing a message for the player to interpret. Looking at games as a medium which not only expresses ideas, but engages the player in interacting with them, they have released a new game: WindFall.
The goal of the game?
A strategy game about building wind farms to create clean energy profitably.Fulfill a specified energy offset goal as quickly as possible by building turbines smartly. Research locations carefully for the best wind conditions, and to avoid upsetting the local citizens by building turbines in undesirable places.
A quick Flash game for whiling away those hours on a Friday afternoon, contemplating what it says about the current U.S. political environment concerning cleaner energy.
Particularly as the game includes property value, where many protesters will arise. Build too closely to a house with one of the larger turbines and you risk attracting the ire of its residents, costing you more money as you buy political clout.
Through my (quick) playthrough on normal I was able to reach my energy goal, and was generating enough money that I was looking at the protesters as more an annoyance than a real threat to either my goal or income, something I expect will ramp up in the harder difficulty. Of course, instead of using any other method, the go-to option is the buy-off in Washington, D.C.
You may take something entirely different from your play, or even just enjoy a short Flash-based strategy game:
