Immortal Defense On Sale For $3 Until October 4th

I thoroughly love tower defense games. Originally just a browser-based Flash past time I snuck away with while pretending to do work at the office, the genre has grown to a plethora of mobile devices (my iPhone is filled with every variation of the good ones) and even fully featured versions for the PC and console.
In that vein is Immortal Defense by Studio Eres. A tower defense game for the PC, Immortal Defense is one of the few titles to attempt any sort of plot to explain why you're shooting down a marching line of enemies. What's more, it does its story well, crafting a plot that is both engrossing and heartbreaking well beyond what I ever expected when I sat down with it. Big Download named it one of the best indie games to buy last year, and for good reason.
In honor of the developer's birthday this week, you can pick up the game for only three dollars until this Sunday, October 4th. (The twitter status update for some reason says the sale ends on the 30th, but I purchased it today and the code worked fine for me.) Just plug the code in at checkout and you'll see the discount reflected. The full game is 14.95 so this is a fantastic deal. There is also an extremely beefy demo available on the developer's website in case you want to check it out before you buy, but at three bucks it's hardly a waste either way.
