Enter The Dark Void, Win A New Car!
To promote the release of the upcoming PC/Xbox 360/PS3 game Dark Void, Capcom is teaming up with Tesla Motors to bring you the Dark Void Tesla Roadster Giveaway. The Tesla Roadster is an electric sports car that's faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo and greener than a Toyota Prius. But what does this have to do with a videogame?
"One of the characters in Dark Void is brilliant inventor Nikola Tesla, whose passion and intelligence inspired creativity and advances in technology far ahead of his time," said Mona Hamilton, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment. "Our partnership with Tesla Motors continues this spirit of creativity and innovation, paring our next generation of interactive entertainment with their next generation of automotive history. The company continues to push the technological envelope with the first electric sports car to go from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. That's almost as fast as the main vehicle in the game -- the jet pack!"
And while it would be so much cooler to win a jet pack, I will freely admit that the technology still isn't there yet. Sigh. Still, it's easy enough to enter the contest simply by heading over to the Dark Void website and signing up for your chance to win. Five lucky winners will get a free trip to Las Vegas in January during CES to test drive the Tesla Roadster with the Dark Void dev team. And then in February, one extremely lucky winner will get their own Tesla Roadster. If you enter before December 7, you'll be entered for both the trip and the car, but after the seventh, you'll only be entered for the car. The mega grand prize winner will be announced in February 2010. Oh, and Dark Void currently has a street date of January 12, 2010.
