TGS 09: Wii Price Drop Confirmed, New Super Mario Brothers Dated
Sony, deservedly so with titles like Last Guardian, may be stealing the Tokyo Game Show, but Nintendo is also squeaking out a bit of news.
Rumor confirmed! It has been officially announced that the Wii will be dropping its price point from the current $249.99 to $199.99. Considering the long life of the current generation of consoles (from what many expected), it is rather pleasant, if bittersweet, to see all these consoles lowering their prices to attract new consumers.
Along with said bit of news, New Super Mario Brothers Wii (which allows you to play Toad!! And four players!! I may be a bit excited.) has an official release date of November 15 in North America, November 17 in Europe.
Anyone not yet have a Wii who will be sold by this drop? Perhaps keeping an eye on another console whose price has dropped for the near future?

YOSHI!!!! I'm so excited about mario galaxy 2 and new super mario bros wii because of Yoshi being in it. YAY!
And yet you can't play as Bowser or Peach [in NSMBW]... I mean, I'm still interested in it [haven't been completely sold enough to put a pre-order down as of yet], but that's kinda sad that we have [I]two Toads[/I] instead of the famous quartet.
SMG2 is gonna be awesome, though!
This is a Mario Game. If you think for a second that there won't be unlockable characters to run around as, I predict your wrongness will be epic.
I'm excited as well. I have always been a fan of Super Mario and it's nice to know that aside from Aion Online, I have something to look forward to.
