TGS 09: The Last Guardian Video Get!
What is the best part of the Tokyo Game Show? The fact that all the big names in Japanese game development pull out all the stops and show off exactly what they are working on. EVERYONE. What's the worst part? The fact that it's in Japan. Seriously, that's some distance to go. Thankfully the internet makes the ocean just a little bit smaller and game designer Fumito Ueda of Team ICO is happy to share his latest works.
The Last Guardian was revealed this year and frankly, I'm not sure I want to wait. This latest video showcases the gameplay and well as lets the designer talk about his process. In short, it's riveting.

Oh how I adore Team Ico and their games. I know I will play this, and I know I will cry. Games like this make me glad to have picked up a PS3, despite Sony's less than stellar current console life.
Every time they show this game it looks better and better. It's essentially the same trailer over and over but the level of detail and the animation quality looks more amazing every time. I need this game yesterday.
So he wants to surprise us with the ending? Does that mean neither the boy or the creature will die at the end? Because that's what I'm expecting after his last 2 games.
The Last Guardian is definitely my most anticipated game on the horizon. I want a cat-bird!
After the colossal (pun intended) over-hyping and subsequent disappointment of Shadow of the Colossus, I can't say I'm looking forward to this one too much. I may give it a try at some point but I really hope it won't be just one big empty expanse with next to no story and single-track gameplay hindered by frustrating controls, as Colossus was.
I may just have to buy a ps3 for this game.
And I really wanted my ratpuppypidgeon to eventually fly...
Totally agreed with LordoftheAvenue, I think I might have to pick up a PS3 solely for this game. It looks so amazing ;_;
@Keith: wat D:! I got hyped up for Shadow of the Colossus and then was blown away by how awesome the game actually was, it exceeded my expectations in every way :(
