PSPgo Upgrade Program Gives Upgraders 3 Free Games

SCEE has announced a program in the UK that addresses some of the concerns current PSP owners may have when deciding whether or not to upgrade to the PSPgo, which lacks a UMD drive to play the UMD catalog PSP owners have been amassing.
Since Sony has yet to announce any grand, overarching system or "UMD legacy" library overhaul - other than to say that it will be supporting both the disc and digital formats from here on out - this admittedly limited scheme may be as good as it gets, at least for the immediate future.
Current PSP owners who log into their PSN account from an existing PSP can get an email voucher for three free games that will be made available on their PSPgo. The UK program - or programme - runs from October 1 through March of 2010, by which time we should have a much better idea of the PSP's evolving software landscape.
The list of 17 games, again only for the UK, isn't exactly brimming with newcomers to the digital download world, but does indicate that Sony is maneuvering to make sure the PSPgo is as viable as possible from the beginning:
- Buzz!: Brain Bender
- Buzz!: Master Quiz
- Daxter
- Echochrome
- Everybody's Golf PSP
- Killzone: Liberation
- Lemmings PSP
- LocoRoco
- MediEvil
- Patapon
- Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice
- Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
- Resistance: Retribution
- SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3
- Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
- Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
- WipEout

I'm never getting a PSPgo...I am sorry but I don't like the idea of having to pay for a game and then turning around and paying for a memory card to download it on. 16 gig flash drive or no...eventually it will run out. Final Fantasy VII's download was 1.38 gigs.
This handheld is going to fail epically. It's more expensive. The games are more expensive. Everything about it is more expensive while at the same time, the handheld is crippled in so many ways
