Intel's On-Demand Gaming Investment

Intel Capital, the investment wing of chipsmith Intel, has invested in GameTree.tv, a set-top box gaming system from TransGaming that will offer on-demand games to the casual set.
GameTree.tv expects a second quarter 2010 launch and will offer games like Peggle and World of Goo using Intel's newest Atom CE4100 "Sodaville" processors, which gives it the power to run "rich media applications such as 3-D graphics."
3D graphics! Don't blow my mind all at once, Intel.
Details such as payment, pricing, software developers and more are still absent, and some sketchiness is still evident - like a Star Trek game labeled as available that turns out to be a mere trailer instead. PCMag has more info and speculation from their limited hands-on with the system.
