Free Nintendo Points: Going, Going... Gone!
In case the larger, brighter screens and built-in camera and music software wasn't enough, Nintendo has been offering another incentive for early adopters of their DSi platform: 1,000 free Nintendo Points. You can use these to buy games from the Nintendo DSi Shop straight from your DSi via WiFi. I've personally been rocking Dr. Mario for a while, but there's plenty of other cool stuff to choose from. The thing is, see, Nintendo's not going to be generous forever. No, it turns out that there's a time limit on this special offer, and you have until 12pm Pacific time on October 5, 2009 to get in on this deal. Which means that if you get one for Christmas, no free 1,000 points for you. Not sure if the white and pink DSi's I told you about the other day will be out before October 5, since they just said "fall" for a release date, but it doesn't seem likely.
I'm not really sure that $10 worth of Nintendo Points is enough to inspire someone to run out and get a DSi before October 5, but who knows. I just wanted to make you guys aware. Because knowing is half the battle, after all!

I checked on Gamestops website and the White and Pink DSi's are scheduled to ship September 13th, so they would qualify for this as well.
