Deal: Buy Scribblenauts, Mario And Luigi, Halo: ODST At TRU, Get Gift Cards
It seems like Toys R Us is really working hard to match the big boys in this videogame racket. While most deals on new games this summer have been pretty lackluster, Toys R Us is handing out fairly substantial gift cards left and right. This week they're offering a $15 card for buying the $30 Scribblenauts. The card is available on Tuesday only, the day the game comes out, and will only be good while supplies last: no rainchecks. Does that beat the Rooster Hat? I'll leave that up to you to decide.
If that's not exactly on your wish list, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story comes with a not as impressive (but still respectable) $10 gift card. That's today (Sunday) only. Lastly, anytime during the week of Sept. 22, buying Halo 3: ODST will get you a $20 card and a free ODST rookie action figure.
Sure, it's not as good as just getting a discount, but if you plan it out right it could be the next best thing. It's a plot to get you to keep coming back, and I'm sure there's something out in the next couple weeks or months you'll want to pick up. If they keep this up, that game may come with a hefty gift card too.
