Video: League Of Legends Preview
I have to admit, ever since my bowling alley introduction to League of Legends at E3 this year, I've been enamored with the game. I mean who doesn't get a thrill from being able to play as a teddy bear toting, fireball wielding goth girl or as a blade wielding tech ninja. Well, music to my ears then is that the game is ramping up and is now going into closed beta, which you can apply for on their site.
With the new beta stage, and all the new goodies they've added since June, they also decided to release an overview of some of the features in the game which can be viewed after the jump. At the same time G4TV decided to also do a preview of the game that is posted above. Both videos do a great job to show how this Massively Online Battle Arena (MOBA) is adding features to make the game great, and make the meta game involved with account based leveling that have an affect on future matches, soemthing truly unique.
The game itself is due out on the PC in September, if the beta testing goes as planned, so it shouldn't be too much longer before anyone can get their hands on it. I do mean anyone, since the game itself will be free to play. Micropayments will be available account customization options and they will also be releasing a retail collector's edition of the game that can be purchased, for those of you that want to get more out of the game and are willing to pay.
