Video: Landscapes Of Muramasa
Sometimes it seems as though the beginning of September will never get here fast enough, with its PAX-y goodness in Seattle and its slew of anticipated games, one of which is Vailliaware's Muramasa: The Demon Blade. I don't know if any other game developers do 2D animation as spectacular as what we've seen so far of Muramasa, but I'm sure quite a few studios would love to take some pointers from Vanilliaware. I have to admit, this game is definitely ranking up high on the list of 'must have' purchases this year, especially for the Wii.
Well, to help tide us over until we can pickup the game on September 8th, the video above showcases some of the lush landscapes that might have populated the Japanese world during the golden age of the Edo Period. From majestic mountainsides to stormy seashores to decaying and decrepit forests, this game has some fantastic backgrounds to help compliment the fast moving and detailed characters taking center stage in the foreground. In short, it's got the whole package, and I all know how much some of you like a full package. So sit back and enjoy the scenery.

Goddess how I wish they would put this game on Xbox or PS3... just on a console with proper HD output.
It is beyond beautiful... that ocean scene alone is worth the purchase...and it looks damn fun.
I just want it on a high def screen.
