The Real Spinal Tap Hits Rock Band

934.jpg

Okay, a little while back, a few Spinal Tap tunes hit the Rock Band Music Store, and that was cool and all, but they were new songs, not the classics we all know and love and would have wanted to rock out to. Well, starting today (for Xbox 360 and Wii owners... Thursday, August 6 for PlayStation 3-ers), Harmonix and MTV Games are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the theatrical release of This Is Spinal Tap by releasing the original eleven songs from the film's soundtrack as the Spinal Tap TAP TEN track pack.

This means we can finally get down with the funky midgets on "Stonehenge" as well as classic hits like "(Funky) Sex Farm", "(Listen to the) Flower People (Reggae Stylee)", "America," "Big Bottom," "Cups and Cakes," "Gimme Some Money," "Heavy Duty," "Hell Hole," "Rock 'n' Roll Creation" and "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight." Purists may want to keep in mind that these tunes are the "re-imagined" tracks recently recorded for Spinal Tap's recent release of Back From The Dead. Which means you might want to sample them from the Music Store before purchase to make sure that you enjoy "(Funky) Sex Farm" as much as you did the original "Sex Farm."

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
