Rockstar Dates Beaterator

Originally created in 2005 as a Flash application on the Rockstar website, Beaterator has now evolved into a full-fledged game that is heading to the PSP and PlayStation Network on September 29 in the US and October 2 in the UK. Featuring thousands of loops and sounds made by both Rockstar and co-producer Timbaland, you'll be creating your own music in no time.
"I've worked closely with Rockstar Games to make something completely unique," said Timbaland. "Beaterator is like taking my music studio and turning it into a suite of tools anyone can use. We can't wait to hear the beats people make and share with the world."

The web app was a drag and drop affair, which obviously won't work on the PSP or PS3, so I'm not so sure whether or not the controls are going to be particularly intuitive. And we'll just have to wait and see how much room the songs you make will take up on your PSP memory card. I remember having great fun with the original MTV Music Generator back on my PlayStation, so maybe I should look into Beaterator...

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
