No One Smiling About Layoffs At Grin

It is a sad time for the game industry as a whole. Layoffs, downsizing and general employment scale problems have pretty much hit every corner of the profession. This is not exclusive to just America. Swedish developer GRIN is being reported to have been hit with more layoffs and even studio closures.
Earlier this year, GRIN closed offices in both Barcelona and Gothenburg. There are reports that the Stockholm office are not far behind. GRIN has declined comment with Gamasutra, so the real extent of the damage is not yet known.
Come to think of it, the only game by GRIN that I own is Bionic Commando: Rearmed. I'm not going to say that they are a bad company, I love what I've played, but when their last two titles were Terminator: Salvation and the new Bionic Command title and the economy is in the crapper there is bound to be some backlash.

If the retail games didn't suck major loads of ass then maybe they wouldn't be closing. Good riddance to a crap company.
I thought the new Bionic Commando and Wanted were actually pretty fun and, as Asterick mentioned, BC:ReArmed was a fantastic little downloadable title. I think that their disc-based games (each averaging around 5-8 hours of content with mixed reviews) would have done a lot better if they shipped at $40 instead of $60, but [SHOCKER!] developers have little to no say in what price tag the publisher slaps on their games.
