Lost Winds: Winter Of The Melodias Coming To WiiWare

When Lost Winds was released at the launch of WiiWare last year, a lot of folks were taken with the game's simple charms. Not quite as charming was the game's short length, which had people speculating that a second outing of the breezy platformer would be just around the corner. Well, now it's almost a year and a half later and we're just now getting details about the sequel, Lost Winds: Winter of the Melodias.
Edge Magazine has the exclusive information, and the biggest bit of new gameplay is giving Toku the ability to change the seasons between summer and winter. There's also at least one new wind power, creating rock-boring cyclones, and Toku can now swim. Maybe he took lessons between games?
There isn't a release date mentioned but it's speculated that the game will be out before the end of the year. Lost Winds was a great freshman effort for Nintendo's download service last year, so with luck Frontier will still be able to wow us now that they've had a bit more time to polish things. Well, 'wow' might not be the right word for a game like Lost Winds. Let's go with: hopefully Frontier will be able to make us sigh contentedly as we remember the joys of childhood and lament our harried and frazzled adult lives.

I can't wait for this!
Hopefully either the WiiWare MB limit will be doubled [or tripled], or this is going retail [with the previous game to boot, which you can skip if you want, obviously]. ^-^
