Hotness... La-Mulana Coming To WiiWare
La-Mulana is one of the greatest platformers created in recent history. Yes, I'm going to go so far as to say one of the greatest. It's expansive, does not require a lot of back tracking to play and is down right abusively hard. When I say hard I don't mean it punishes you for not saving, I mean that if you don't save nearly every time you touch a key item you're likely to lose it in the next ten to twelve minutes. It is just that difficult.
Now the game is making it's way to the Nintendo Wii as a downloadable title. It has a fuzzy release date of "Winter 2009" for now, and I'm cool with that. It is not like Nintendo has ever been all that good with ironing down launch dates of their downloadable titles.
The port is being completed by developer Nicalis, also known for his work on the (upcoming) release of Cave Story. Obviously, this man knows his way around free, downloadable Japanese titles.

That game was a lot of fun. The only part that disappointed me was that there were so few cartridge combinations that produced an effect, especially given the huge number of cartridges you find over the course of your adventure.
I appreaciate that everybody has their own tastes and all, but being a dificult game does not make it better.
I prefer my games without a dose of frustration and controllers embedded in TV screens thank you very much.
Wow, this is cool. La Mulana is truly one of the greatest platformers EVER made, not just in recent history. But what's with the graphics update? One of the ideas of the game was that it was supposed to act like it was on the old MSX computer.
