Go Monster Hunting With Your Wii
Capcom announced today that a new game in the popular Monster Hunter series is heading for Nintendo's Wii in early 2010. Monter Hunter Tri will feature all new features and some pretty impressive graphics, as evidenced by the trailer above and the screenshots below.
"Fans of Nintendo and Monster Hunter are eagerly anticipating the launch of this title in the US, which will be the first time the series is available on a Nintendo home console," said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America's Vice President of Licensing. "Having Capcom bring Monster Hunter Tri to the Wii console provides tremendous action, fun and entertainment to both veteran players and series newcomers alike."
Monster Hunter Tri features both online and offline co-op modes. Up to four people can join a hunting party online, and two people can share one TV for select quests. Of course, if you're brave enough, you can always tackle the quests in single player accompanied by Cha-Cha, and AI hunting partner with some useful tracking and trapping skills. And naturally, new weapons and armor sets will be available in the sequel. Right now, that's all Capcom is saying about Monster Hunter Tri, but as soon as they leak out any more info, we'll let you know!

So sayeth the Monster to his Monster Hunter, "Is that your sword, or are you just happy to see me?"
Day one. I have killed so much time and so many monsters on my PSP Freedom game. It is too bad that we won't see voice chat for this, but still multiplayer I can use with out having to setup xlink kai will be a very welcome change.
