Deal: Buy Batman: Arkham Asylum At TRU, Get $20 (Or $30) Gift Card
People really seem to be looking forward to this Batman: Arkham Asylum. That's kind of weird, right? The last time I had high hopes for a Batman game I was still pretending to like girls. Anyway, with the game apparently deserving the hype, no doubt a few of you will looking to grab it this week, and if you've got a Toys R Us nearby, you might be interested in their offer.
If you buy the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of Batman: Arkham Asylum at TRU, you get a $20 gift card, which isn't bad at all. That deal applies to everyone, and lasts all week, or at least until the game sells out. However, if you're a member of the store's rewards program, Rewards R Us, and buy the game in a very narrow window of time - August 25th from 10 am to 2 pm - they'll up that to a $30 card. That's halfway to a new PS3/Xbox 360 game, or a free greatest hits title. Hey, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box comes out this week and costs that much! You're welcome.
You can join Rewards R Us online or in-store, and the service is free. Remember, you only have to be a Rewards R Us member to get the $30 card, and you can only get that larger gift card in that tiny sliver of time. If you don't have a long lunch at work or can't get to a Toys R Us before 2pm this Tuesday, there's no need to join right now, unless you want to start earning free diapers and infant formula.
Also at TRU this week is a Buy One Get One 1/2 Off sale on all DS and Wii games. Even the brand new ones, like Wii Sports Resort, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and, oh look, there's Professor Layton again. Good luck to all bargain hunters.
