Call Of Duty: World At War On Your iPhone!

codiphone.jpg

Well, no, not the actual game on the iPhone, which would be an impresive feat of programming, to say the very least. No, in reality, Activision and Treyarch have announced the release of an iPhone application called the Call of Duty: World at War Companion which will allow players to remotely access important news and updates from wherever they happen to be. And if you have a linked account with www.CoDWaW.com, you can see key stats from the game like K/D ratio, win/lose record, weapon usage, online activity of friends and their stats to compare progress. You can also access the latest news/blogs, Treyarch's community Twitter feed as well as the latest on new maps, double XP weekends and contests. So far, the ratings on iTunes seem pretty favorable, although I've always wondered how useful these kind of things are. Probably more useful with an iPhone, though. The app will work on an iPod Touch, but you'll obviously need to be near a WiFi signal, which seriously cuts down on its usefulness. Oh, I almost forgot the best part — it's free! So even if you discover it's actually not as useful as you thought it might be, no skin off your teeth...

Awww I thought it's the real game for iphone. I dunno if this application is worth trying but who knows. I hope there would be more applications for online games like Aion online which will be launched soon.
