All Things GayGamer At PAX

Many of the writers here at GayGamer castle are super giddy today, because today marks one week until we'll be up to our eyeballs in geeks and nerds at PAX in Seattle. This year we'll have a number of writers meeting up there, specifically: Tiny Dancer, Game-boy, Dawdle, Asterick, and I (Pixel Poet). I think this might make the largest number of GayGamer writers at one convention. Along with all the great gaming news, stories, and insights we'll be bringing to you from the PAX floors, we also have some other goodies to bring ya.
Right now, Friday at PAX is shaping up to be a big GayGamer day. As I mentioned earlier on the site, I'll be putting on a panel at PAX this year with some help from Tiny Dancer and Game-boy called How to Make it in the Back Door: A Rainbow Colored Perspective of the Game Industry. It'll be taking place on Friday at 3pm in the Unicorn Theatre, which is room 611 on the top floor of the building. We'd love for all GayGamers, friends, pals, and folks to be at the event to hear the wonderful panelists speak about the industry, and for people to also be on hand to ask any burning questions you may have.
Also on Friday, we'll be having the ever popular GayGamer.net meet-up in the afternoon/evening. It'll be on Friday at the Cafe Metropolitan in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, from 5pm to 9:30pm. The owner of the venue has been kind enough to allow us to use the place for a meet-up, and there will be drink specials going on during happy hour until 7pm. The best part is that the place is all ages friendly until 9:30pm, so everyone is more than welcome to come. After 9:30pm, though, the place is 21+ so younger kiddos will have to leave, but with PAX having games going all night, I'm sure there'll be plenty for people to do elsewhere. More info on the event is available in the meetup thread already up on the forums, and a big thanks to Seretogis and Squeech for putting the event together.
So there you got it, we got a few events put together for Friday to make sure all you GayGamers kick off PAX in fabulous style. Remember, you only got one week to get ready! All of us in the GayGamer castle are super excited to be seeing you next Friday!

AHHHHHHH OHMYGAWD!!!! It's like a secret surpize that can't come any sooner!!!
I should be there for the first part of it. :)
I wish I could, but I don't think I am going to make it on Friday due to my work schedule. I do plan on being at PAX for the rest of the weekend though.
And if you guys need another place for a drink after Cafe Metropolitan, head down the street a block to The Bus Stop. It's gay-owned (but not technically a gay bar) with a great mix of people, and (enter shameless plug here) I will be djing a wide variety of music from 9pm until close.
