Video: New Releases For The Week Of 7/6/2009
This week I'm going to have to point my big ole gay finger at Trine. I knew very little about it, and it is being released at a less than premium price as a digital download title. What can I say, I even pre-ordered it over Steam. Since this title is being launched without a box, I figured I would go ahead and include a gameplay trailer. That's just the kind of guy I am.
- Trine (PC, PS3)
- Battlefield 1943 (360, PS3)
- ARMA II (PC)
- Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal (PC, Wii)
- The Bigs 2 (360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PS2)
- Memento Mori (PC)
- CID The Dummy (PSP, PS2, Wii)
- BioShock & The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Bundle (360, PC)
- The Hardy Boys: The Perfect Crime (PC)

Trine looks good... damn good. Then again I love 2.5D games. Looks multiplayer too?
Trine is hotseat multiplayer only, no remote multiplay. It also doesn't allow save games, the checkpoints you reach in game are only respawn points for the current session, you need to complete each level in a single sitting or you have to start the level from scratch when you reload.
It looks great and the soundtrack is nice but those mechanics killed it for me because I don't always have time to complete a level before I have to quit.
Try the demo first.
