Video: Avatars In Guitar Hero 5
In the never-ending quest to one up the competition with unique features, it has just been revealed that the upcoming Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero 5 will feature the ability to play as your Xbox LIVE Avatar in the game! You'll be able to mix and match your Avatars with the Guitar Hero characters, but that sounds a little odd to me, since visually they'd look quite different. However, from the video trailer above, you'll see that an entire band comprised of you and your friends' Avatars looks pretty cool. Oh, and don't worry about the crap clothes that Microsoft makes available — you'll be able to take your Avatar into the Create-A-Rocker mode where you can customize it with exclusive Guitar Hero clothing and accessories so they don't look like huge dorks on stage!

ok i was kind of excited about it, until i watched the clip and realized how limited the animation was for the avatars face. i mean pretty much he had the regular mouth, and the burp mouth. although, i would rather have avatars over lego pieces.
Personally I think these look better than the regular GH character models. Too bad that the avatars are so limited by Microsoft though.
