Nintendo Reveals Rewards for Club Nintendo Gold and Platinum Members
For those of you who joined Club Nintendo in hopes of winning loads of fabulous prizes, Nintendo has just announced the free prizes for those members lucky enough to reach Gold or Platinum status. To achieve Gold status, you must have acquired at least 300 coins within the "Club Nintendo Year." For Platinum status it's 500 coins. For achieving this goal you are rewarded with a free gift while still retaining your coins to spend on other prizes. Here's a breakdown of the gifts for each level...
Platinum:
This downloadable content expands on Punch-Out by pitting Little Mac against his mentor, Doc Louis. You do not need to own Punch-Out to use this DLC.
Mario's signature accessory can be yours to wear and enjoy while others point and laugh!
Gold:
Celebrate every day of the year, Nintendo style! This 2010 desk calendar has artwork from twelve different Nintendo games
I only reached gold status so sadly, the Mario hat will not be mine to wear and enjoy. However, I will be able to count the days of not having the hat on my Gold status desk calendar.

*pouts* I wanted a gold-plated Wii Wheel! But eh... I got the Mario hat. Next year they better come out with a Princess Peach crown.
Ok, i don't care for Punch out challenge thingy, The Mario hat probably won't fit my small head nor would i wear it. What do i want with a calendar, I got one on my phone. Any suggestions?
I don't know which one i want... I want the hat cause its cool, but the punch out thing is something ill get more use out of... HUMMMM.
I went with the Punch-Out!! DLC. The hat is definitely cool, but when else will you be able to get exclusive video game content like this?

I so wanted the hat. So imagine my disappointment to find out I only get a calendar. Sigh. Well, at least it's free.
Exactly ITS FREE!!!!! FFS people GROW UP!! Just be glad you get stuff like that for free, in Europe we have to have bought every Nintendo game TWICE to afford anything from the catalogue.
