Fashion Fab: NES Netbook Cover

NES_Acer.jpg

Nothing says new age retro like using a handmade NES controller look-alike to cover up a lightweight computer that can probably emulate all the games in the Nintendo library up until the Gamecube. Such is the case with Flickr user Mendicon who got this wonderful Acer Netbook cover made for him by his girlfriend, my guess is that maybe she's not a fan of the dark side and wanted her hubby to cover up his affiliation to Darth Vader.

I do have to admit, what you carry your portable electronics in is a major fashion statement, since somehow when it comes to carrying electronics, neither form or function seem to get any billing in some of the designs I've seen. In fact, when I got my Acer Notebook to be used for E3, I spent the next week scouring the internets and the electronics stores trying to find a decent bag. I guess I now know that the solution was to make my own, though I think I'd try to make mine look like a giant Game Boy instead.
