Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary
Dear Diary,
This week was a little weird. I'm getting scared of the magical fairy that lives inside of my new fountain, but I was viciously attacked by a poisonous something or other. No, seriously! Make the jump and I'll tell you all about it!
Oh, but first, some good news. One day I was making my rounds, watering all my flowers, and I discovered that the carnations have started to multiply! I had wondered if perhaps they wouldn't, because they're special, but I guess I was wrong. I still don't know if the pink will hybrid its way into a new color, but I can keep hoping!
Turns out that the fireflies come out at 7:00 on the dot. I saw none, and as soon as the clock turned seven, there they were. They're very pretty. My bf already caught one and donated it to the museum last week, so I just caught one to sell. They're worth 300 bells, which isn't bad, because they're actually pretty easy to catch... when they're over land. Water, not so much. Oh, and my bf also tried putting one in his house to see if it would act as a light, but he reported that it doesn't work. Too bad that could've been some awesome mood lighting.
So I kept trying to get a golden axe throughout the week, and failed every time. First, the fairy asked me what kind I'd thrown in, so this time I said "silver," figuring that maybe you have to get silver before you get gold. But unfortunately, she happily told me that I had to be lying because you can't throw a silver axe into the fountain. And she kept my axe, to boot! So the next time, I told her I'd thrown a gold one, and she again called me a liar. but at least that time I got my axe back. When I tried again, I hit her, and she asked if there was some reason that I didn't like her and wanted to hit her with axes. I swore that wasn't the case, and she kind of seemed to forgive me, but didn't give me anything in return. The last time I tried, she just yelled at me and disappeared. Sigh. I don't know what I'm supposed to do to get the golden axe. I know I could look online, but part of me still wants to figure it out for myself. Heh. We'll see how long that lasts!
Sally told me she was thinking of moving this week. I don't really have anything against her, but I figure we could use some new blood in Narnia, so I told her to go ahead if she wanted to. Of course, as the week went on, she still hasn't gone anywhere, so we'll see if she eventually goes through with it.
Oh, recently, Tommy Nook was being all self-conscious about his store again, wondering if he should change it up again. I told him I really liked the balance of this one, but last week, by bf told me while he was tending to the town, he told Nook he wanted variety. But this week the little raccoon told me he had decided to leave things the way they are. But then I got to thinking that maybe next time around, I'll tell him to go for variety so that he'll have more stock and I can get more points in a day. Three points a day isn't making my account much bigger. And I still haven't been able to exchange them for any cool gifts. I know there's a Link costume in there somewhere, but I don't have nearly enough points yet. But I will have a Link costume. Someday. It's my dream.
Oh, my bf told me about this happening to him, but there were so many trees around he couldn't tell exactly what had gone down. Well, this week, I heard a skittering sound, and saw an enormous black spider like a tarantula or something. Scary! I tried switching to my bug net, but I'm not very good at it, so when I went after it, the beast saw me first, and it attacked! All of a sudden, I was all dizzy and saw stars, and then I fell to the ground and the world went black! When I woke up, I had somehow gotten to my front door and woke up in front of my house. Don't know who brought me there, but I wouldn't be surprised if the giant spider carried me there on its back it was that huge!
One evening it was raining, so I decided to go fishing and see if I could catch anything new. I got so very excited when I saw a fin slicing through the water, and even more so when I caught myself a hammerhead shark! Awesome! Oh, and the next day, I saw a very pretty pale blue butterfly that it took me forever to catch. I'm not very agile with my net. I guess my depth perception is off or something, because I usually miss. And it would fly away from me across the river, and I would have to run all the way down to the bridge so I could come up the other side and try again. And naturally, I would miss again and have to run back to the bridge so I could swap to the other side and find it once more. Sigh. I need more practice!

Oh man I am sooooo bad with my net it's not even funny I feel your pain lol
...nutbag?
I suck at the net too. I've found that if you look at the shadow cast on the ground by whatever you want to catch it helps a lot.
Watch out for spiders!
