Nathan Drake Enters Uncharted Territory... Hollywood!

Well, the PS3 game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was already pretty cinematic on its own, so how much you wanna bet they're still gonna screw it up when they make a movie of it? Well, I guess we'll find out because Columbia has bought the rights to develop the game into a film produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner. The script will be penned by Kyle Ward, who unfortunately only has a couple of other movies under his belt, both of which are still currently in production. But they're also videogame adaptations Kane & Lynch and Hitman 2 so that's either good or horribly, horribly bad. Take your pick.
Of course, the real question here is who should be cast as Nathan Drake. Honestly, I feel like it should go to Nolan North, who voiced the character in the game, but he may not be quite rugged-looking enough. He's also probably not a big enough "name" for the studio. Maybe Nathan Fillion. He's got a bit of a name, but not so much so that he'd be prohibitively expensive...

Dylan McDermott, yumm. But he's probably too old. They'll cast some 20 something.
Nathan Fillion actually looks just like him... he'd be pretty much perfect...
Avi Arad is double producer. He is producing the shit out of that movie.
Okay, it's Avi Arad and Ari Arad. Reading Comprehension, you've failed me for the last time!
