Guitar Hero Smash Hits Expands Your Favorites

rbworldtour.jpg

The Guitar Hero franchise launched as a simple two guitar game and started a craze that took the gaming world by storm. Then, prodded by rival Rock Band, Activision expanded the game to encompass not just guitar and bass, but drums and microphone as well. But what of all those songs from before Guitar Hero went "On Tour?" If you thought you were relegated to only playing them on guitar and bass, think again!

Today, Guitar Hero Smash Hits launches, expanding a selection of past Guitar Hero hits from two instruments to four. Forty-eight of the most popular songs from Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith have all been consolidated into this one disc for your playing pleasure.

You can check out the full set list which includes hits from Alice In Chains, Queen, Poison, Rage Against The Machine, Twisted Sister, Heart and DragonForce after the jump.

Oh GH:SHits.
I'll be picking this up, but no way at the $60 price point. Some of the charts look just unfun, but I do want to drum some old favorites.

Point of interest Backbone has outdone Neversoft on overcharting. Raining Blood has the franchise's first 5 note chord.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
