Guitar Hero 5 Band List

Well it looks like 84 is the magical number for all you music lovers out there, because that is the number of bands that are included in Guitar Hero 5. Today Activision was nice enough to release a list of all 84 bands to be include in the next sequel to the popular music franchise, and, as to be expected, there are a number of bands on there that have me excited, such as Duran Duran, Elton John, Johnny Cash, and The Police. The one that has me most excited is Queen & David Bowie which leads me to believe that Under Pressure will be one of the songs available, and lets all admit it, there's been a lack of Queen songs released on music games for the US audiences. A full list of all the bands featured is after the jump.
Apparently another big feature coming in this iteration of the game is that you will be able to swap in and out instruments while playing a song. This would be a much needed element since people always seem to drop in and out of being able to play the game while in the middle of a nine minute song. Activision also announced that the game will be shipping on September 1st, so we won't have to wait long to get our hands on all these awesome bands. Hopefully they'll have this available to play some at E3, and if so we'll see if we can get a GayGamer band together again. Until then you'll just have to drool over the bands on the next page.
