Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Confirmed US-bound, Playable At E3

There's been a lot of excitement lately over the imminent XBLA and PSN release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but what about our Wii-owning brethren? Taunted for months now by the seemingly Japan-only Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, it seemed like Wii owners around the world would be missing out on their healthy dose of crossover fighting action. Well it looks like Capcom is giving Wii owners outside Japan some love after all, or at least the North American ones, as Capcom has now announced on their Capcom-Unity blog that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom will not only be releasing in the US, but will also be playable at E3.
Well, surprise, here's the news on Mystery Game #1: it's Tatsunoko VS Capcom: Ultimate All Stars! The game that many thought would never make it to North America is actually in the works and will be at E3 for all of you lucky Unity members to get your hands on.
It's not a complete surprise actually, as our own Dawdle reported rumor of the US release recently, but it's always nice to get an official confirmation from the company. To sweeten the deal, there are even rumors going around that Capcom may put an online multiplayer mode into the North American release, a feature missing in the Japanese version.
As much as I love Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (and I do), quite frankly I'm far more interested in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Sure it's a brand new experience versus one I've played a million times before, but what it all really boils down to is two words: Viewtiful Joe. And for those readers worrying about a waggle-fest fighting game, rest assured that the game supports both the classic controller and Gamecube controller. Look for more news on the game, like confirmation of an online mode and a release date, when GayGamer heads off to E3 in a few short weeks.

Here's hoping Europe isn't forgotten.
Someone explain to me who Tatsunoko is and what they do. Why can't the Wii get Marvel vs. Capcom like all the other systems?!
Tatsunoko is an anime production company, meaning Capcom characters will be fighting anime characters. It's likely you haven't heard of most the series which are in the game
The Wii isn't getting MvsC2 for one reason: Nintendo's file size limit on Wiiware. Pretty pathetic on Nintnedo's part, eh?
I've played Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, and I must say, I don't really like it. It plays a lot like MvsC2, which is okay. But the Capcom characters feel the same as they do in the other games, and I'm really not that interested in Tatsunoko. So since the character roster is much smaller than a lot of Capcom fighters, I was fairly unimpressed.
