Oudaa: WiiWare Graphical Text Management Simulation

Before anyone gets on to me for liking this game simply because it's a retro throwback... I like this game because it's a retro throwback. Yes, I know, pixelate a poo and I'll gladly drop $49.95 on it, especially if it includes a special limited edition pre-order poo bonus. Disclaimer aside, I really like it when startups generate conceptually bizzare budget titles (see: Katamari Damacy)
Oudaa (Order) is a fudal period diplomatic \ military simulation. See: Anything Koei has ever produced. The game puts the player in the roll of king of some undisclosed country. You will spend your time micromanaging military treks, countries, diplomacy, demons, you name it. You also get this from the comfort of your virtual chair. While sitting in your real chair. Reading virtual real text. It is all very meta.
This is all wrapped in a pseudo 16-bit era style display. Ever feel like being the king in Dragon Quest? You know, gently walking in place waiting for something to do? This is about the closest you're ever going to get. The best part is this effectively hides the fact that the game is not modern in any fashion by hiding behind the guise of a king playing and old style game. Very tricky.
Much like all the other things I tend to get excited about, this title has not been scheduled for a US release. Lets just hope that XSeed or someone similar jumps on the import train and brings this to english shores.

Man, I never knew kings had that much to do. ^^
